Claire Claire and All Her Hair!

Claire Claire, we love her hair.
It's big, it's crazy-it's everywhere.
Whatever we do, where ever we go,
her hair is there and it's sure to grow.
It's curly, it's fine--she looks like Einstein!
It's sticking straight up, or it's bedhead again.
Whatever the case she's sure to win.
Our hearts that is, with her locks so sweet.
They're more fun to play with than even her feet!
From dred locks to braids, to wigs and more.
There's always another hair style in store.
We hope you'll enjoy these original pics.
Of our crazy haired cutie,(the girls and Mitch.)

Performances Recitals Galore!

December was a busy month for us with dance recitals for McKenna and Meghan and a "Celebration" performance for McKenna.

This is a picture of the kids on Santa's lap following their dance recital.

This is the kids with their cousin, Hailey, Brandon and Celia's oldest waiting to sit on Santa's lap.

Kenna sporting her new Minnie Hat.

My little divas, striking a pose right before the recital began.

Mitch, Kenna and Meg right before McKenna's singing/performing group, "Celebration" did a number at the festival of trees in SLC.

McKenna thoroughly enjoys performing and really loved her sparkly red outfit this time!

Making Brownies

One day, Mitchell and I were home and I had a million and one things to do, but he was bored, and in order to keep him off of the Wii or computer he needs "activity". So, the "to do" list got put away and we made chocolate layered mint brownies together. It was one of those few times that I actually stopped running long enough to savor the moment. It was actually a lot of fun and we had a ball! I need to do stuff like that more often.

Mitch, stirring the frosting.

Can you tell he loves chocolate?!

Christmas 2008

Okay, so I'm finally getting around to posting some Christmas pictures! It was a great holiday. We just stayed home and enjoyed all the snow that dumped on us all during the break!

The kids in our family room Christmas Eve showing off their new p.j.'s

We went to Bob and Jennifer's for Christmas Eve and saw all the UT cousins along with the Robertsons. It was great. We really enjoy having family nearby.

We got together with Hans' family on New Years Eve too. We had a party at our house. It was a lot of fun. G-ma and G-pa H. were here. Bob, Jen and kids, Dawneen, Mike and kids made it. Julie and Brown and kids were even here from Guatemala! We set the clocks back two hours & watched the ball drop on T.V. on the East Coast-Actually, I don't think anyone was watching, but we did set the clocks back. At 10:00p.m., we all (okay, mostly the little kids)ran outside banging pots and pans and screaming "Happy New Year" at the top of our lungs. (Our neighbors just love us!) It was a great time.

I refurbished an old barbie doll house my mom made for me and Amber when we were little for the girls this Christmas. They loved it! It wasn't entirely finished Christmas morning (in this pic) but I gave the girls all the assessories to finish it off and they helped me complete the decorations. What fun!
