McKenna's Dance Recital

This is quick clip of McKenna dancing in her spring recital. It was on June 19th. I had just had Claire and we were only home from the hospital for two days when we went to the recital. But we wouldn't have missed it for the world. McKenna loves the High School Musical movies, and this number is one of the songs from High School Musical #1. She was pretty exctied about it.

Okay, I'm just starting this blogging thing, so bare with me. I'm about as technically challenged as they come. Here goes.... don't laugh, unless of course I'm attempting to be funny and in that case, please laugh so I don't look like an idiot.

Claire Sadie Hendershot has arrived! What a joy she is to have around.

I can't believe how much I am savoring every minute with her. Maybe it's because we're pretty sure she is our last, or maybe I'm just finally learning how to slow down and mellow out a bit. I don't know. I find myself just staring at the miracle of her-- her small fingers, her inquizitive eyes, her precious toes, tiny features, and her ridiculous amounts of curly hair! I tell her daily that she is SOOO lucky big hair is making a comeback. (Actually she and I both are benefiting from that latest trend!)





The kids absolutely adore Claire! They argue over who gets to hold her first, or the longest, or who gets to put in her binki. Mitchell likes to try and make her laugh. McKenna wants to walk around with her like an adult, and Meggie, she just likes to hold/cuddle Claire real close, while simultaneously sucking her thumb. Which she manages quite well, I might add.
